This policy describes what data the Distill Chrome extension collects, why, and how it's handled. Distill's single purpose is to analyze an image you select and generate a design token set (colors, typography suggestions, spacing, corner radii) for you to export.
Images you submit are sent over HTTPS to our backend, then to Anthropic's API to generate the token set, and the result is returned to the extension. Images are not retained by Distill after a result is returned. If you purchase a paid plan, checkout is handled entirely by Polar (our payment processor and merchant of record) โ Polar collects your email and payment details directly; Distill only receives a license key and plan status in return, not your payment information.
License and usage-limit data is stored in a managed Redis database, transmitted over HTTPS. We don't store the images you submit beyond the time needed to process and return a result.
You can remove your license key at any time from the extension popup. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data (device identifier, saved license key) from your browser. To request deletion of any server-side record tied to your email or license key, contact support@distill.design.
If our data practices change, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
